The Halfway House Coalition convened last night and the buzz was all about meeting the May deadline for the 2nd Chance Act Request for Proposal, which requires that twenty of our state coalition agencies have signed MOUs by then. Everyone agreed that unity is key in investing in buying hotels and blighted buildings to convert into affordable housing. With the funding from the Veterans Development Group , and the resources of our coalition members working together, we are sure to make a difference in providing quality housing options for those who need it most. Let's make it happen!
It was an inspiring meeting with a sense of community that left us all feeling thankful and motivated. We are on the right track and can't wait to see each agency's progress on the 2nd Chance Act Request for Proposal. Let's continue to work together and see what amazing things we can accomplish!
